“Beauty of Nature” Take an hour-long retreat into the cool seclusion of the Digby Pines Forest. You will have a guided tour of the walking trails and enjoy some wonderful photo opportunities. This interpretive walk is both educational and inspiring as you learn about local plant life and their traditional and medicinal uses.
“The Life and Times of Digby Pines" Our resident history “buff”, Gary, will take you in a guided half-hour tour of Digby Pines hotel. He will let you in on some interesting tidbits of it’s past and share some photos from years gone by.
Off-Site Tours and Events
We feature a variety of off-site tours every week. If you don’t see the tour you want or would like to do one of the tours at a different time, no worries! Call Ann and she’ll be happy to work out a tour catered to your request! All scheduled tours require registration 24 hours prior to the event so we can be prepared just for you!
“Geo-Caching” (Self-Guided) Cost: $30.00 (includes picnic lunch and GPS rental) This is a game of “high-tech” hide and seek. Participants use a GPS to seek containers called geocaches. Geocaches are currently placed in over 100 countries around the world and on all seven continents. Just log on to the geo-cache website and start hunting for the caches in our area. Our staff will be pleased to assist you with GPS instruction and then you are free to “geo-cache” as a self-guided adventure.
"Explore the Acadian Shore" Cost: $90.00 (per person which includes tours, picnic lunch and taste testing)
Your day begins at Gilberts Cove Lighthouse, built in 1904, to tour the museum, gift shop and teahouse. You then visit the stone church of St. Bernard, one of the largest granite churches in Nova Scotia. Next stop is St. Mary’s Church at Church Point, the largest and tallest wooden structure in North America. Then you're off to Smuggler's Cove which is a sandy inlet that has a history of adventure and contraband with its ocean carved cave. This is where you'll have your beautiful picnic lunch. Your tour concludes at the new Rendez-vous de la Baie, interpretive centre. Here you will receive a guided tour learning the history of the Acadian culture and taste test a traditional dish of the Acadians: Râpure (Rappie Pie).

“From Vines to Wines Tour!” Cost: $35.00 per person* (Includes tours and wine tasting at two vineyards, picnic lunch) Take a tour of two beautiful vineyards (Annapolis Highland Vineyards and Bear River Winery) located in the heart of Bear River. “The Island Experience” Cost: $85.00 per person* (Includes tours and picnic lunch) Enjoy of full day of experiencing “Digby Neck” and the islands. Start off with a visit to Gulliver's Cove for a panoramic view of the Bay of Fundy and view the windmills helping make Nova Scotia a little more green. Stop at the beautiful Sandy Cove Beach and enjoy a stroll along this beautiful red sandy expanse and learn about the "Mystery Man" of Sandy Cove, still a mystery to this day! Then it’s off across the ferry to Long Island to visit the museum and go back in time. Stop for a leisurely lunch at Central Grove Picnic Park overlooking the Bay of Fundy and maybe get luck and see a whale or two. After lunch, catch the next ferry to Brier Island to visit “Victoria” as she takes us back in time through a day in the life of Joshua Slocum. Learn about the town and circumstances that set the stage for greatness in this extraordinary human being. Visit the quaint museum and gift shop featuring fascinating facts of fisheries’ past and locally made unique crafts then make your way to the lighthouse trail for a hike along the water’s edge. You might even spot the seals slumbering on the rocks!
