On Site Tours & Events
“Beauty of Nature” Take an hour-long retreat into the cool seclusion of the Digby Pines Forest. You will have a guided tour of the walking trails and enjoy some wonderful photo opportunities. This interpretive walk is both educational and inspiring as you learn about local plant life and their traditional and medicinal uses.
“The Life and Times of Digby Pines" Our resident history “buff”, Gary, will take you in a guided half-hour tour of Digby Pines hotel. He will let you in on some interesting tidbits of it’s past and share some photos from years gone by.
“Rails and Trails Tour” Join Annah on a walking tour of the rails and trails around the Annapolis Basin. Learn about the history of the railway and Digby through stories and anecdotes. Catch some great photo opportunities along the way!
Off-Site Tours and Events
We feature a variety of off-site tours every week. If you don’t see the tour you want or would like to do one of the tours at a different time, no worries! Call Pamela and she’ll be happy to work out a tour catered to your request! All scheduled tours require registration 24 hours prior to the event so we can be prepared just for you!
“Geo-Caching” Cost: $30.00 (includes boxed lunch and gps rental) This is a game of “high-tech” hide and seek. Participants use a GPS to seek containers called geocaches. Geocaches are currently placed in over 100 countries around the world and on all seven continents. Just log on to the geo-cache website and start hunting for the caches in our area. Our staff will be pleased to assist you with GPS instruction and then you are free to “geo-cache” as a self-guided adventure.
“Frenchy's Treasures Tour” Cost: $25.00 per person* (includes boxed lunch) Take a trip to Frenchy’s, Guy’s Frenchy’s and Bethany Bargain Bin to learn about the time-honoured skill of “bin-diving”. End the trip with a picnic by the sea at our Fisherman’s Memorial Park.
“Gilbert's Cove Explorations” Cost: $40.00 per person* (includes tours of farm and lighthouse and a boxed lunch) Start off with a trip to a local organic farm. Take an inside look at the practices of organic farming and gain a newfound appreciation for the production of their flavourful crops! Next stop is Gilbert’s Cove lighthouse, an original light keeper’s home built in 1904. Tour the museum containing old school photos, historical notes and even a quilting room. There is also a gift shop with locally made crafts and souvenirs. Enjoy your lunch in the picnic area overlooking the water and take a stroll along the beach.
“From Vines to Wines Tour!” Cost: $35.00 per person* (Includes tours and wine tasting at two vineyards, boxed lunch and a visit to the Farmer’s Market.) Take a tour of two beautiful vineyards (Annapolis Highland Vineyards and Bear River Winery) located in the heart of Bear River. Enjoy some wine tasting and then off to the Bear River Farmer’s Market where you will find local produce and the works of local artisans.
“The Island Experience” Cost: $80.00 per person* (Includes tours and boxed lunch) Enjoy of full day of experiencing “Digby Neck” and the islands. Start off with a visit to beautiful Sandy Cove Beach and enjoy a stroll along this beautiful red sandy beach. Then it’s off across two ferries (an adventure in itself) to Brier Island to visit “Victoria” as she takes us back in time through a day in the life of Joshua Slocum. Learn about the town and circumstances that set the stage for greatness in this extraordinary human being. Visit the quaint museum and gift shop featuring fascinating facts of fisheries’ past and locally made unique crafts. Enjoy a relaxing picnic and then make your way to the lighthouse trail for a hike along the water’s edge. You might even spot the seals slumbering on the rocks!
“Marshland - Dykeland Tour” Cost: *$45.00 per person (Includes tour and boxed lunch) Learn about salt-water marshland flora and fauna with guide Warren Paton. We will have wonderful bird watching opportunities so be sure to bring binoculars and a camera

“Stones, Steeples, Ships and Seafood Historic Walking tour of Digby” Stroll back through the centuries as we discover Digby’s dynamic history and rich cultural background.
“Plankton, Periwinkles and Predators” Greg will take you to the edge of the Bay of Fundy to observe the effects of a nine-meter tidal range, providing an exciting view into one of the worlds most dynamic and diverse ecosystems.
